MY SIGNATURE AESTHETIC?

WILD NEW ENGLAND STYLE AND A BIT OF HOMESPUN MAGIC

As a lifelong New Englander, many of my pattern designs reimagine classic New England features. I want my art to help create a genuine feeling of home.

You’ll see coastal elements, homey cottage florals, and rambling forest motifs. I draw most of this inspiration from exploring the natural beauty of my own home—hiking the cranberry bog trails near my house in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and exploring the nearby beaches of Cape Cod.

You’ll get more than just New England charm here, though. I’m a traveler at heart, and I’ve developed an eclectic illustration style by studying historical patternmaking techniques and global art styles from around the world. All of my current licensing collections feature patterns I created through traditional hand-carved block printing methods, gouache paintings, and pen and ink illustrations.
